things that make you go hmmm

Mom's decided we look more alike today than yesterday. Could such a dramatic transformation have taken place overnight? I'm a little skeptical, but Wyn thinks it's possible. His chunky cheek chubbiness factor is definitely catching up to mine. What do you think? Can you tell which one's me? The answer to this and many other exciting questions will be posted next time, here on...our blog!

utensils 'r' us

Yet another momentous day here at the Lipsey house. Zak and I tried cereal for the first time ever! Here you see Zak slurping up a big giant bite from a spoon (while I occupy myself with a fascinating object Mom and Dad call a "hand"). We took to this newfangled way of eating pretty well, although at times we were more interested in chewing on our bibs than anything else. Next up: filet mignon.

four months

Today is our four month birthday. To celebrate, Mom and Dad took us to get shots. They have a weird idea of fun. Here, you see me getting checked out by our pediatrician, Dr. Andy. It actually wasn't too bad, and Dr. Andy is alright, seeing how he has a tiger on his stethoscope and all. The big news is that both Wyn and I now weigh 14 pounds, 10 ounces, which is almost triple what we checked in at when we were born. Huzzah!

tummy time

Here we are doing our daily push-up regimen. It's all part of our master plan to become star hitters for the Cubs. We're sure Dusty's going to be calling any day now, especially after last night's loss to those blasted Cardinals.

our christening

Last Sunday, June 20th, Zak and I were christened at All Saints Anglican Church by none other than Grandpa Lipsey! We were so happy to share one of the most important days of our lives with family and friends.

Both Zak and I howled a little during the actual baptism (sorry Grandpa!), but other than that it was a very joyous experience.

Here are three generations of Lipsey men. Look out ladies! Our christening took place on Father's Day...pretty cool. (Zak is on the left. No, not the big guy, silly. That's Daddy!)

This picture just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Happiness is having a family who loves you.

hangin' out with dad

Mom ran some errands this morning, so it was just us Lipsey men hanging out at home (and the big, brown furry monster who licks us and barks occasionally, but she doesn't count). We played for awhile, then ate and went to sleep. A big morning all around.

contemplations

Hi. Here I am, deep in thought. What am I pondering? Differential equations? The evolution of cubism? The pros and cons of supply-side economics? Hmmmm... this Lipsey's lips are sealed.

shout out to madalin

Yesterday our cousin Madalin turned five. Man, that's old. Zak and I just wanna say, "happy birthday!" We love you!

may i say something?

Daddy just pointed out that Zak did the last four posts. So here's my darn post. Love, Wyn (That's me on the right.)

bathing babes

My brother and I used to hate bathtime. We would scream and scream and scream. Now, I have to admit, it's pretty fun. We kick our legs around and make lots of splashes. Best of all, we watch ourselves in the mirror.

church is neat

Wyn and I went to church for the first time ever last Sunday. Mom and Dad planned to take us several times before, but we had a little trouble cooperating, i.e. sleeping the night before. It sure was special. I behaved quite well, if I do say so myself, as did my little brother (that's him snoozing away). Lots of people smiled at us, held us and made us feel very welcome. After the service, Wyn and I had a little meeting and decided we'd like to go again very soon.
